FATAWAA: (Religious
Rulings)
these are religious rulings delivered by qualified scholars of
Islaam. These rulings apply to the specific events and issues. They
are derived from the Book of Allah, the Sunnah of Allah's Messenger,
salallaahu alayhe was salaam, and according to scholarly Ij’ti’haad (striving hard to derive a verdict). As the
Messenger of Allâah 
said:
"If a
judge gives a ruling upon Ij’ti’haad and is correct, he will attain
two
rewards and if he performs Ij’ti’haad and errs in his ruling then he
secures
one reward."
